      No not ultimately. If you have a passion for a subject you should push yourself, however it definitely helps to have someone enthusiastic talking about the subject especially when it comes to science which can be loaded with heavy concepts sometimes.
      I always think school is what you make of it, so get involved in everything, learn as much as you can and have fun with it.

      Your teachers will always have some effect as they are the first people to introduce you science subjects. I wouldn’t say I had great science teachers which inspired me. My maths teacher was better than my science teachers. Wanting to learn the material in the science books pushed me on more than any teacher.

      As Arlene says above be curious about everything, don’t get too bogged down in any one thing and enjoy learning new things!
