• Question: what advice would you give to people who want to become a scientist?

      Find an area of science that really interests you first. Try to talk to people that work in that area and see what their job is like. I recommend emailing researchers that work in universities, for instance. I think if you explain you are an interested student they will be happy to talk to you. Also, try to get a handle on maths, they are pretty important for most sciences. Also, it is good to try to take classes in a variety of sciences because a lot of science is connected- if you want to study astronomy, physics and chemistry are both important!

      To add to Paul’s answer, I’d say keep on reading everything you can on on your favorite science, research moves so fast it’s hard to keep up with.
