      The oldest fossils we know are called stromatolites they are 3.45 billion years old. Which is almost older than average age of a member of the “Rolling Stones”

      Yeah, stromatolites were featured in Planet Earth on BBC, there are loads of them in shallow water- even in Ireland! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-15299220
      And remember, we evolved from bacterial slime that lived about 3.5 billion years ago…
