As a postgrad I got between 12,000 and 16,000 euro per year (I changed grants). On my current IRCSET fellowship as a postdoctoral research fellow, I get 32,000 per year, but that is taxed. Most of the salaries for people that work in universities doing research are online, so you can look them up on the university websites to see what the salaries are like. I don’t do research for the money!

As Paul says we don’t do research for the money. That said Scientist and engineers are well paid in general (especially outside of the universities). Their average wage would be above the average industrial wage.

      I get paid in lego.
