• Question: how do you make pancakes in space

      Ingredients
      100g plain flour
      Pinch of salt
      1 egg
      300 ml milk
      1 tablsp. melted butter or sunflower oil
      Anti-gravity machine

      Instructions: Turn on anti-gravity machine. Make pancakes as if on earth. Turn off anti gravity while flipping pancakes. Impress friends with flipping abilities. Post to youtube. Turn back on anti gravity machine. Eat pancakes

      Hmm… the thing about pancakes is that because of the baking soda, when you heat one face, the soda releases gas and the cake rises. I guess the key is how to keep the batter in a disk, while heating one side, without gravity… Maybe if we use a centrifuge with a hot surface, and take advantage of the centripetal force, the batter will be spun around and stick to the outside. The pancake would be cooked into cylinder.. which would actually be great because you could fill the middle with whipped cream, strawberries, and syrup… I’m hungry now…
